The eternal word

"Then he said to me, 'These words are faithful and true.' And the Lord God of the holy prophets set His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place." -Revelation 22:6

God's word is eternally faithful and true. Since it was He that spoke all creation into being by His divine utterance we can trust that His word is forever real. We don't believe blindly. We have witnessed His creation and have seen the result of the Spirit that moves.* And yet, we have the prophetic word made more sure.** His word, eternally precious, is a comfort and a help to us now - a light to our path in a world that grows dimmer. All of these things are passing away, but His words will never pass away. We are ever closer to Christ's return and His enduring word will help us to the end.
