We believe that it is important to be thoughtful when considering God's Word, the Bible. We hope you will check back from time to time for thoughts on God's Word and how it applies to us daily.
"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God." -1 John 5:13
The saints addressed in this letter had not seen the risen Lord in the flesh yet they believed it was so unto eternal life. John wanted to be sure to encourage them in their faith, to affirm their belief. He exhorts them to continue in their belief, implying an alternative course of ruinous disbelief. May our Lord grant us endurance and faithfulness as we desire to continue in our belief. May our roots grow deep and firmly anchored through studying God's word, prayer and being a witness to eternal life that comes through Christ's namesake. This is the fundamental purpose for this epistle - to encourage the saints to a personally dedicated endurance. All who run do not win the prize.
